The National Opera

The National Opera Company of Korea is a historical and traditional organization that has led the development Korea’s cultural and arts sector and operas. It was established as an affiliate of the National Theater of Korea in 1962 and separated as an independent foundation in 2000.
The National Opera Company of Korea has developed creative operas that represents Korea’s emotional development and fulfills the cultural needs of our time. At the same time, we have constantly shared historical masterpieces and controversial operas from abroad with local audiences. Consequently, local audiences have been able to experience the essence of operas and local vocal singers and stage artists have been able to develop their skills and pursue professional dreams.
